Kimberly Hunt is a 13-time Emmy award-winning anchor for ABC 10News in San Diego, earning the coveted statues for her stories tracking Cartel Guns, Hell Week with the Navy Seals, Maquiladoras: Economic Boon or Toxic Time Bomb, and Cocaine of the Sea - How Cartels Pushed the World’s Smallest Whale to the Brink of Extinction, among others.
Kimberly has spent three decades enterprising, producing, and reporting on big issues affecting the lives of all who live in Southern California .
Additionally, she has carved out a deep relationship with federal agencies that tackle environmental issues and criminal organizations affecting our border region. Kimberly’s unprecedented access into border tunnels, prostitution in plain sight, cross border sex trafficking, drugs and gun-running, dangerous chemicals in the Tijuana River, and cyber child-porn, has brought to light crimes that threaten the health and safety of us all.

She's also won Best On-Air Talent 'Anchor,' for her work on the 5, 6, 7, and 11 p.m. newscasts.
Kimberly won the prestigious regional Edward R. Murrow Award for her story Tracking the Mexican Mafia-Inside Donovan State Prison.
The San Diego Press Club awarded her first place awards for her investigations into Open Air Brothels in San Diego's canyons, and her exposé on sex trafficking.
Kimberly received a Golden Mic Award for her special titled: Postcards From Home during the Persian Gulf War.
Her body of work garnered her the Attorney General's Crime Prevention Award.
Kimberly's experience includes covering political conventions, Super Bowls, and the Academy Awards. She has interviewed sitting Presidents in the White House, Oprah Winfrey, politicians, and Hollywood stars.
She began her career as a researcher for ABC World News Tonight anchor Peter Jennings, worked as an Associate Producer for Monday Night Football, and anchored at the CBS affiliate in Monterey, California before coming to ABC 10News in San Diego.
Kimberly is married to former NFL linebacker Billy Ray Smith. They have one daughter, Savannah.
As a family, they've committed to many nonprofit organizations ranging from military, law enforcement, medical research, homeless, and children's charities.
