Jermaine Ong has been a member of the ABC 10News Digital Team for over 10 years.
During his time with KGTV, Jermaine has been integral in the Digital Team’s comprehensive coverage of major news events in and around San Diego County, including elections, wildfires, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jermaine has also produced digital content highlighting some of the great things San Diego has to offer, such as the spectacle of Comic-Con and the holiday lights of the Forward House in Banker’s Hill.
A Bay Area native, Jermaine earned a Broadcast Communications degree at San Francisco State University but ventured into content production for tech start-ups before eventually transitioning into a career in digital journalism.
When he’s not on the clock, Jermaine enjoys exploring San Diego (and Orange County and Los Angeles, too) with his wife and two kids to find great restaurants and cool sights. You can also find him and his family at Petco Park rooting for the Padres.
