The death of "Superman" star Margot Kidder has been ruled a suicide. The actor died at age 69 in May 2018.
Kidder was in Montana when she died.
She played the role of Lois Lane in the 1978 "Superman" movie and later starred in three of the movie's sequels with Christopher Reeve.
The performer has been involved in a number of different films, including a couple appearances in the show "Smallville." Kidder had two roles that were in pre-production when she died, according to imdb.com.
Her family and the coroner released a joint statement encouraging "those suffering from mental illnesses, addiction and/or suicidal thoughts to seek appropriate counseling and treatment".
