It seems Jimmy Kimmel just wanted to know what was going on with our president on Oscars night.

During Sunday's Academy Awards show, the Oscars host reached out to President Donald Trump via Twitter. Kimmel said he was "worried" because the president had remained silent on social media during the show.

He said, "We're more than two hours into the show and Donald Trump hasn't tweeted at us once and I'm starting to get worried about him."

Kimmel then went on his phone and tweeted at the president -- all while his screen was projected so the audience could see.

His next tweet was a clear reference to Trump's feud with actress Meryl Streep, who was in the audience.

Both of Kimmel's tweets have each been retweeted hundreds of thousands of times.
