(KGTV) - Everyone's favorite futuristic family is heading back to television.
"The Jetsons" will reportedly grace TV screens once again, this time in live-action fashion, as ABC has landed a put pilot order for the show, according to Variety and several other outlets.

George, Jane, Judy, and Elroy Jetson - and Rosie and Astro, of course - seem to be returning home in a sense, as the original series aired on ABC for 24 seasons from 1962-1963. It was later brought back to TV in 1985 and has since been featured as various animated movies too.
Robert Zemeckis and Jack Rapke are set to produce the show, while Gary Janetti will executive produce and write. Janetti's credits also include writing and producing for shows such as "Family Guy" and "Will & Grace."

The news isn't the first revival of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon, either.
In May, "Sausage Party" co-director Conrad Vernon signed on to bring the series to the big screen with Warner Animation Group, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
