Domino's Pizza launches 'Paving For Pizza' effort to repair America's roads

Posted

(KGTV) - Domino’s wants to improve the health of America’s roads so their pizzas can be delivered to their customers smoothly.

The pizza giant is asking its customers to nominate their town for pothole repairs or other street fixes as part of their Paving For Pizza initiative.

So far, the company has worked with four cities to help improve their roads -- Burbank, California; Athens, Georgia; Bartonville, Texas; and Milford, Delaware.

Anyone interested in nominating their city for road repairs can do so at PavingForPizza.com. Domino’s then picks the city and provides funding “to help repair roads so pizzas make it home safely.”

Domino’s USA President Russell Weiner said, "Have you ever hit a pothole and instantly cringed? We know that feeling is heightened when you're bringing home a carryout order from your local Domino's store. We don't want to lose any great-tasting pizza to a pothole, ruining a wonderful meal. Domino's cares too much about its customers and pizza to let that happen."
