(KGTV) — The Conners are returning to television on Tuesday, though without their family's matriarch at the helm.

The "Roseanne" spin-off show premieres on ABC 10 at 8 p.m., months after the network pulled the "Roseanne" reboot after star Roseanne Barr's well-publicized Twitter tirade.

"The Conners" will feature the rest of the family, though it's not clear how the show will address Barr's absence — though it's been rumored her character could be killed off.

John Goodman told the UK's Sunday Times in August that his character, Dan, will "be mopey and sad because his wife's dead."

Fans voiced support to continue "Roseanne" in some fashion following the announcement it was canceled, the cast said in a statement.

"It's clear that these characters not only have a place in our hearts, but in the hearts and homes of our audience," the statement said.
