Border Patrol Temporarily Shuts Down San Ysidro Port Of Entry

Posted

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials have temporarily closed the northbound lanes at the San Ysidro port of entry.

An agency spokesperson says it is adding additional security measures. The southbound lanes into Mexico are not affected. In addition, CBP has suspended processing northbound pedestrian travelers at the San Ysidro Pedestrian East facility; pedestrian travelers can continue to use the Pedestrian West facility at San Ysidro to cross northbound into the U.S.

Border Patrol did not give a time estimate as to when the lanes and pedestrian bridge will reopen.
