OC Man Arrested In Lakeside Bank Robbery

SAN DIEGO -- A suspect in a Lakeside-area bank robbery was arrested at his Orange County home Wednesday, about eight hours after the heist occurred.James A. Ramsdell of Cypress was taken into custody about 1 a.m., according to the FBI.The 43-year-old Orange County man allegedly handed a demand note to a teller at a Washington Mutual branch office in the 9500 block of Winter Gardens Boulevard shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators identified Ramsdell as the alleged bandit from a license-plate number provided by a witness who saw the robber drive away from the bank, the FBI reported.Ramsdell was scheduled to make an initial appearance in federal court in San Diego on Thursday.
