Armed Men Rob Couple Standing Outside Bar

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego police searched Wednesday for two armed men who robbed a couple standing outside a bar in Clairemont Mesa.A 25-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were smoking outside a bar in the 5100 block of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday when the thieves approached, San Diego police Sgt. Bob Dare said.The thieves pointed handguns at the victims and demanded cash but settled for cell phones when the victims said they didn't have any money, the sergeant said.
The thieves fled on foot and no one was hurt, according to Dare.
