SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Trying to find a summer activity for your kids can seem overwhelming, but now a new website in San Diego is trying to take the stress out of searching.

The 6crickets.com site first site launched in Seattle last summer, and it has expanded up and down the West Coast.

"It's like Hotels.com for kids' programs," said San Diego coordinator Kat Blue. "Parents can put in their kids' interest, their location, their age and search for specific camps that would interest them."

The site has more than 5,000 programs on it. It includes sports camps, school camps, dance, fitness and anything else you can imagine. Site administrators say they add more every day.

"The beauty of this is that you can see everything in one place," said Blue.

Registration with the site is free, and then you pay the camps through the site.

Its creators say it can save parents time and stress.

"Parents are still spending hours, days, even weeks looking for summer camps or finding the best activities for their kids," Blue said. "This can save them so much time."
