SAN DIEGO -- A series of storms are hitting San Diego this week as El Nino begins to take hold in Southern California.
Some impressive rainfall totals are expected by week's end.
By Thursday morning, San Diego is expected to see an estimated 1.91 inches of rain. El Cajon could see 2.39 inches, Escondido 2.98 and Palomar Mountain 4.06. La Jolla could see 2.38 inches.
Elevations above 4,000 feet could see anywhere from four to 24 inches.
