SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A Mission Valley restaurant has permanently closed its doors, partially blaming the closure on the loss of the San Diego Chargers.
A company spokesperson confirmed to 10News that the Tilted Kilt's location at Westfield Mission Valley mall (1640 Camino Del Rio North) has been shut down.
The spokesperson said:
"The Mission Valley Tilted Kilt is franchisee owned and operated. With the changing demographics and customer base associated with the exit of the San Diego Chargers and declining mall traffic, the franchisee has made the decision to focus on the downtown San Diego location across from Petco Park."
The restaurant in the East Village, just outside of Petco Park, is on 310 Tenth Avenue.
