SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Representatives from Target held a meeting in North Park Thursday to talk about a possible new Target Express store location in the now-vacant Wang's restaurant building.
The location has been empty for years and many of the business owners and residents who spoke with 10News are open to the possibility of the retail giant coming in.
Right now the company is still in what it calls a "fact finding phase". Target said if the store were to open, it would employ 40 to 50 people.
At this point, the plans have not been finalized.
There are still questions from people in the area about about how the store will impact other businesses and if it will drastically change the look of the building.
Some worry the store will paint over the custom mural on the side of the building.
