On social: Witness video, pictures after truck flies off Coronado Bridge, lands in Chicano Park

A sailor stationed in Coronado has been arrested for driving his car off the Coronado bridge and onto a group of parkgoers in Barrio Logan. Four victims were killed and the driver, Richard Anthony Sepolio, is hospitalized.

SAN DIEGO -- Four people attending a La Raza motorcycle event at Chicano Park were killed Saturday when a truck flew off a Coronado Bridge ramp and dropped 60 feet down onto a crowd.

The truck's driver was placed under arrest for being under the influence of alcohol, according to the California Highway Patrol. He was later identified as 24-year-old Richard Anthony Sepolio, who is employed by the U.S. Navy and stationed in Coronado.

Happening now: a truck just flew off the Coronado Bridge and into a crowd of people in Barrio Logan. At least 100 responders at the scene. Bridge is closed. Every street in Barrio is clogged. Sorry for my annoying voice I was w/ @ev.loka at chicano park. People were eating chillen and all of sudden me and @ev.loka saw the car going down the bridge and crashed. It dropped up top of people and some were injured and died. R.I.P

Today I had looked forward to having a relaxed day taking some shots of La Raza Run. As we did our round of hitting all vendors a loud crash silenced everyone. A truck pummeled down off the Coronado Bridge right next to us instantly killing a family. We ran and quickly people lifted the truck off. Unfortunately they passed on.
