The California Highway Patrol responded to a semi-trailer that caught fire on Interstate 8 near Dunbar Lane in Alpine.
The incident happened around 9:32 p.m. Sunday.
A SIG Alert was issued for the westbound lanes.
Two dump trucks responded to the crash for a report of paper spilled over the roadway, the California Highway Patrol said.
