SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The San Diego Police Department and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect wanted for the sexual battery of a 15-year-old girl.
Police say the 15-year-old girl was walking alone from her home to Mira Mesa High School on October 12 when the suspect approached her and engaged in conversation on the 8800 block of Hillery Drive. According to police, the suspect then sexually battered the victim before fleeing the area on foot.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic 42-year-old male who is 5 foot 2 inches tall, has a normal build and short, dark-colored hair. The suspect was also wearing a light-blue short-sleeved shirt and baggie blue jeans. Police say the suspect also spoke with a thick Spanish accent.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest.
