SAN DIEGO (KGTV)-Promoting community partnerships will be the focus of Tuesday night's National Night Out event, according to the San Diego Police Department.
"National Night Out is a great event that showcases the many ways we partner with our community to keep San Diego safe," SDPD Chief Shelley Zimmerman said. "It's an excellent opportunity to enhance current partnerships and foster new ones."
Thousands of people are expected to attend the annual event held every first Tuesday of August. This year's event will be held tonight at the following locations:
- Northern Division: 5 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.
Pacific Beach Library: 4275 Cass Street, San Diego, CA 92109
North Clairemont Rec Center: 4421 Bannock Avenue, San Diego, CA 92117
Standley Recreation Center: 3585 Governor Drive, San Diego, CA 92122
- Northeastern/Northwestern Divisions: 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Northeastern Division: 13396 Salmon River Road San Diego, CA 92129
- Southern Division: 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Robert Egger Park South Bay Recreation Center: 1885 Coronado Avenue San Diego, CA 92154
- Mid-City Division: 4 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Jeremy Henwood Park: 3700 Fairmount Avenue San Diego, CA 92105
- Central Division: 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Behind Petco Park: 800 – 900 J Street San Diego, CA 92101
- Southeastern Division: 5:30 p.m.– 7:30 p.m.
Gompers Park: Carolina Lane at Hilltop Drive San Diego, CA 92102
