San Diego deputies seek help finding Mercedes that struck bicyclist in Encinitas

ENCINITAS, Calif. (KGTV)--The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is seeking the public's help to identify the person who struck a bicyclist in Encinitas on Friday. 

A 1993-2000 silver or white Mercedes C-series struck a 30-year-old woman who was riding her bicycle southbound on North Coast Highway 101 near Basil Streeta round 10:07 p.m., officials said. 

The victim was riding in the designated bicycle "sharrow" lane when the Mercedes struck her, causing severe head trauma. 

Deputies said the Mercedes has damage to the front grill.
