(KGTV) – A two-month-old infant died Tuesday in an apparent accident in Descanso, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
The incident was reported shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday at a home in the 10000 block of River Drive, near Lilac Lane, according to San Diego County sheriff’s dispatchers.
Homicide investigators were summoned to the scene to look into the case. Sheriff’s officials noted that homicide investigators typically respond to serious medical events involving minors one year or younger regardless of the circumstances.
The investigators say they found no signs of traumatic injuries or other suspicious evidence describing the incident as a “tragic accident.” The medical examiner will determine the official cause of death.
