SAN MARCOS (KGTV) - A pedestrian was killed while attempting to cross Route 78 West near South Rancho Santa Fe Road in San Marcos Monday night.
It is believed that the unidentified man was struck by up to four vehicles, one person remained on scene after the accident.
Three lanes were closed following the crash, but the roadway was cleared by about 1:45 a.m., according to the CHP.
The name of the person killed in the crash has not been revealed, and there is no word on why he was running across the 78.
