OCEAN BEACH -- A parrot is dead after being shot twice with a pellet gun in Ocean Beach.
Parrot experts tried to save the bird and initially, the prognosis was 'very guarded.' But Brook Durham with SoCal Parrot posted on her Facebook page Saturday morning that the parrot had succumbed to its injuries.
It's not the first time we've reported a parrot getting shot with a pellet gun -- about a year and a half ago there was a sudden rash of them:
- Dec. 2014: Third parrot shot with pellet gun
- Oct. 2014: Parrot with pellet gun wound found in Imperial Beach
- Aug. 2014: Parrot found shot in neck with BB gun
