Overturned truck in Ramona sends 1 to hospital, prompts closure of Highway 78

RAMONA, Calif. (KGTV)-One person was hospitalized Monday morning after a truck carrying chicken feed overturned in Ramona, according to Cal Fire.

The traffic incident happened around 8:20 a.m. on State Route 78 at Ramona Trails Drive. 

Cal Fire was called in after 10-15 gallons of hydraulic oil was determined to be leaking onto the highway. 

The highway was expected to be shut down for two hours, according to a Cal Fire tweet. Traffic was rerouted through Third Street to Old Julian Highway. 

The condition of the hospitalized person was not yet known.
