SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- One man was burned in an RV fire near Sea World Drive Friday night. Firefighters tell 10News they think it may have started when someone tried to give the RV a jump. The cables were still connected when we left the scene.

Also around the front of the RV - water bottles, indicating that someone may have tried to put out the fire. Looking at the charred skeleton of the RV, it's remarkable to think that the person who owns it didn't suffer worse injuries. The vehicle was gutted by the flames, inside and out. Fire crews say a Good Samaritan tried to jump the RV when it died near a small trail near Mission Bay. One man was taken to the UC San Diego burn unit. There's no update yet on his condition. The vehicle is still hot to the touch and will remain at the location of the fire until Saturday morning. At that point, Environmental Services will clean up the mess.
