The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office was investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in Carlsbad, authorities said.
The body was found on or near some bushes Friday at 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Cannon Road and Carlsbad Boulevard, Carlsbad Police Sgt. Steve Thomas said. Her age and race were not released.
Officers responded to the scene and determined that the death was not suspicious or the result of a homicide, since detectives were not called to the scene, Thomas said.
The Medical Examiner's Office took the body for further investigation.
