10News listened to the scanner all night Friday, and it sounded like police were swamped with DUI calls on St. Patrick's Day.
One man is suspected of being drunk after plowing into two cars near the intersection of Imperial Avenue and 65th Street in Encanto. He was arrested for DUI, but that 's not the only charge he could face.
Police say the suspected DUI driver didn't have a driver's license, and he's lived in the U.S. for 30 years. The man was driving east on Imperial Avenue in a red truck when he slammed into parked cars.
Luckily, no one was in the vehicles. According to police, they were across the street attending church services.
Police say when they asked the man how much he had to drink Friday night, he told them two or three beers. 10News Reporter Emily Thode saw a beer can in the car near the gas pedal.
