Major San Diego attractions like the Zoo, SeaWorld, and LEGOLAND are all letting kids in free in October with a paid adult.
It's a promotion going on at about 100 museums, restaurants, and other venues around the county.
It's called Kids Free San Diego, an effort to boost attendance in a typically slow month.
But parents need to plan ahead to avoid disappointment and confusion at the box office.
For instance, the Zoo doesn't limit how many kids - 11 and under - one paid adult can bring in. At SeaWorld, it's one child 3 to 9 years old per adult ticket purchased. And at LEGOLAND, where you have to buy a hopper ticket for its aquarium, an adult ticket gets one child 3 to 12 in for free.
"It's expensive just to buy tickets for the adults, if we can save money on one of us, it will be worth it," said Rebecca Gillette, visiting San Diego with her husband and daughter.
Most of the offers are for children 12 and under.
A spokeswoman for the San Diego Tourism Authority suggests buying tickets on their dedicated website to avoid misinformation at each attraction.
These are the deals biggest attractions.
