CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - At least two people suffered minor injuries Monday morning after a fire torched at least two units at a Chula Vista apartment complex.

The two-alarm fire was reported shortly after 7 a.m. at an apartment building at 245 Woodlawn Ave., according to Chula Vista fire officials.

Officials said the fire erupted in a second-story unit and then spread to at least one other unit.

It took firefighters a little over an hour to knock down the flames.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Officials said the blaze does not appear to be related to a fire that burned several minutes earlier at a mobile home park on Broadway.

10News learned one person was hospitalized with a minor burn injury and another person was transported due to smoke inhalation.

Local Red Cross officials said anyone affected by the fire can head to the Otay Recreation Center (3554 Main Street, Chula Vista, 91911) for assistance. Pets are welcome.
