LAKESIDE -- A motorhome parked close to a home was scorched by a fire in Lakeside early Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported before 5:30 a.m. in the 11000 Oak Creek Drive. The owners told 10News they were alerted to the fire by a passerby. There was ammunition inside, but it did not go off.
Lakeside Fire District crews responded and extinguished the fire. The blaze did not spread to the owner’s nearby home.
There was no one inside the motorhome at the time and there were no injuries.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire. San Diego County Sheriff's deputies were on scene.
