LA JOLLA, Calif. — The Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center received a bomb threat and was evacuated Monday afternoon.
This was the third time the JCC has been evacuated in recent weeks.
Here is a statement from the center:
"We have received a bomb threat and we are following practiced protocol. Everyone is being safely evacuated to La Jolla Country Day School across the street from our JCC while San Diego Police make a careful sweep of the building."
The San Diego Police Department responded to the Center, on Executive Drive, at 4:33 p.m. to check on the bomb threat.
Police say a visual search and search with explosives trained canines took place. No bombs or bomb materials were found.
The Northern Division is investigating the threat.
