CLAIREMONT MESA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Alzheimer's San Diego offered free memory screenings in hopes of fighting Alzheimer's and other types of memory loss.

The screenings included a short survey and a test that takes less than 10 minutes. The results are immediate.

Early signs of Alzheimer's include getting confused with dates, telling the same story over and over again and losing things then finding them in unusual places. Clinicians say early detection is key to help include the quality of life of anyone with the disease.

The screenings are free and open to the public.
