SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A boat docked at Dana Landing in Mission Bay erupted in flames early Wednesday morning.
At around 1 a.m., fire crews received reports of a sport-fishing boat on fire and sending heavy smoke in the air at the dock off the 2600 block of Ingraham Street.
Several dock workers rushed to the scene and used garden hoses to battle the fire just before firefighters arrived.
It took about 45 minutes for crews to completely knock down the flames, but the blaze caused severe damage throughout and left a large hole on the boat’s right side.
Fire investigators believe the fire may have been caused by a refrigerator on board.
No injuries were reported.
