SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A family with small children escaped from a fire that ripped through their North Park home early Thursday morning.
San Diego Fire-Rescue officials said crews responded to the blaze on Mississippi Street just before 3:30 a.m.
According to fire officials, the fire started in the attic of the home and spread to the home’s second-story addition.
A couple, their three young children and the family dog were able to safely flee the home.
Officials said the house did not appear to be a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
