ESCONDIDO, Calif. (KGTV) - Crews were called to a two-acre vegetation fire in Escondido early Thursday evening.
Crews from Escondido Fire Department and Cal Fire were called to a rugged mountainside off Dublin Lane and La Honda Drive in Escondido just before 5:30 p.m. to reports of a fire.
Fire officials have called in aircraft assistance from Ramona.
Cal Fire officials said crews have stopped the fire's forward rate of progress and no structures have been threatened.
No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
