POWAY, Calif. (KGTV) -- The Poway Sheriff’s Station is investigating after staff at Meadowbrook Middle School discovered a student with a hit list.
The Poway Sheriff’s Station says Thursday, the hit list was discovered in the possession of an eighth-grade student. The list reportedly contained names of faculty and students.
Deputies detained the student and say everyone whose name was on the list was notified.
Authorities say they will increase patrols at the school Friday due to the incident that deputies say is under investigation with the cooperation of the school district.
