SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Going to the San Diego County Fair can be expensive, but there are some discounts out there fairgoers should be aware of this year.
It can cost $18 to get into the fair and $13 to park -- and that doesn't include rides or food.
To save some money, fairgoers can get discounts by visiting a Vons or Albertsons for a coupon, or visitors can park at an offsite lot and taking a shuttle to the fair.

This year, you could miss two big discount programs if you don't look closely.
South Bay residents who download the new MTS Compass Cloud app can get discounted fair tickets when they pay for their public transpiration -- a total of $24.
The fair is only letting kids 12 and under in for free on one day -- June 27.

Last year, the fair had three "kids days" last year. Fair spokeswoman Shawn Feisst said they reduced the number of kids days so they could have all of the best activities for kids on a single day.
Children age 5 and under are always free.
