COLLEGE AREA, Calif. — For unknown reasons, a vehicle veered off westbound Montezuma Road near 54th Street and down a 50' embankment into a ravine Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred just west of Edward L. Hardy Elementary School and San Diego State University at around 10:45 a.m. Traffic may be impacted.
A woman seen being carried on a stretcher was rescued from the car some time later by San Diego Fire Rescue.
It is not yet known what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway.
