SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -  A truck careened into an Allied Garden home's swimming pool Friday when the driver said she forgot to put the vehicle's parking brake on.

The truck reportedly rolled backward from a driveway across the street, plowing through the fence of a home in the 7300 block of Conestoga Court and into a pool.

The driver, a 68-year-old woman, was pulled out of the vehicle by a man working nearby. She was taken to a nearby hospital with cuts.

A neighbor told 10News they could hear the truck come crashing into the pool, followed by people yelling "in the pool. In the pool."

"I see the truck and say, 'Oh my God what's that doing in there? There's someone in there,'" Mitch Beeber said. "Someone grabbed a brick or piece of wood. He banged the window open."

The driver was reportedly submerged in the vehicle until good Samaritans helped her out. She is reportedly doing alright.

"If that guy wasn’t here I hope I would’ve done the same but he knew what he was doing," Beeber said.

The home's owner described to 10News the scene of coming home to the submerged vehicle.

"I was at Walmart, came home and didn’t know and there was a truck in my pool," the homeowner said. "Everyone’s okay that’s all that matters."
