CACTUS CITY, Calif (KGTV) --  Searchers in the desert near Indio did not find the bodies of a missing San Diego woman or her beloved dog, both presumed murdered.

More than 140 people searched the desert near Cactus City Monday, looking for any sign of former Army Officer Julia Jacobson and her dog Boogie, according to ABC7.

Investigators said they had information that led them to search six-square miles of the desert, but they would not say what the information was or who it came from.

Ontario police say they believe Jacobson was murdered by her ex-husband, Dalen Ware, but a body was never found. She was last seen in an Ontario store with her dog Boogie the night of Saturday, September 2.

Four days later, San Diego Police found Jacobson’s car abandoned in North Park, a half-block from her home, with the doors unlocked and all the windows rolled down.

Evidence from the car indicated that Jacobson had been murdered, according to detectives.
