EI has celebrated #OptOutside in the face of the nation's biggest retail holiday since 2015 after the company closed its stores and started paying employees to spend the day outside. Since then, about 7 million people and 700 organizations have joined in the effort to boycott Black Friday by enjoying the outdoors.
The deal is also available in 11 other cities including Portland, San Francisco, and Denver.
