DEL MAR, Calif. (KGTV) - Every year visitors are astonished by "Design in Wood" at the San Diego County Fair.

Magnificent works of art, decor, and craftsmanship are put on display by woodworkers from across the globe into a packed exhibit hall. Furniture, clocks, models, carving and more can be found housed in Mission Tower.

Visitors flock to the hall annually to check out the creative and skilled works. From uniquely crafted tables and desks to wooden surfboards and some of the most intricate models you'll ever see, there is something truly impressive around each turn.

MORE SD FAIR FUN:

Described as "the biggest and best woodworking exhibition in the country" by the editor of Fine Woodworking Magazine, woodworkers compete to bring home recognition of their works of art.

Every day at 12 p.m., tours lead visitors through the exhibit, providing back story and details on entries. Throughout the day, exhibitors give demonstrations and answer questions on wood carving, scroll saws, wood turning, and more.
