To reach their goal, people like James Quinones are recruited to the team to help make the difference. James is one to "reach out" to the community, not just by reporting the weather but by helping out his main employer -- San Diego.James has been an advocate for guiding the children of our community, with emphasis on those that are less fortunate. Devoting a couple of years to coaching in the Special Olympics is just one of the ways James contributes to the community. James believes that he is blessed with his accomplishments and wishes to use his position to teach and educate people to try.
Everything James has done in his life has lead up to him becoming a weathercaster, although that was not his main goal. He has always wanted a job to facilitate interaction for the betterment of others whether it be a police officer, a coach, or TV personality, he just wants to improve himself by helping others. One of James' main goals is to give back to community and help others achieve their own dreams and ambitions.Over the past 8 years, James has forecasted weather patterns from around the country, including, New England, the Gulf Coast, and the Southwest. He remembers having to walk to work twice. Once in Rhode Island -- his car was snowed in at 3:00 a.m. The second time was in Corpus Christi where the streets were completely flooded out.
