Taking a snapshot of your food before you eat can improve your diet, according to a study covered by The Telegraph.Researchers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison asked 43 people to photograph everything they ate for a week, as well as write it down. The authors of a study said that reviewing the photo album was a more effective way to get people to change their diets than the diaries. The pictures also helped remind people to think about what they eat.Trainers and nutritionists often ask people to keep a journal of everything they eat so that people can get a true idea of their intake, as well as see how little things add up.The Telegraph said that a typical response from volunteers in the study was, "I had to think more carefully about what I was going to eat because I had to take a picture of it."The researchers said that food journals are often filled out well after a meal, so they aren't as accurate.
