(KGTV) - "Escape to Margaritaville," a new play based on the music of Jimmy Buffett, runs through July 9th at the La Jolla Playhouse.
The show includes Buffett classics like "Cheeseburger in Paradise," "Margaritaville," and "Changes in Lattitudes," as well as three new songs he wrote just for the play.
10News reporter Jared Aarons sat down with Buffett, and writers Mike O'Malley and Greg Garcia, as well as the show's cast Paul Alexander Nolan (Tully), Alison Luff (Rachel), Charlie Pollock (Brick), Lisa Howard (Tammy) to discuss the creation and development of the musical.
